Search queries are the clearest signal your users send you. RayoSearch captures every query, click, and zero-result dead end — and turns that data into a dashboard you can actually act on.
Users don't lie to your search bar. Every query is an unfiltered expression of intent — what they want, in their own words, right now. Most teams ignore this data entirely. The ones who track it consistently improve conversion rates, reduce support volume, and discover product opportunities they never knew existed.
The total number of search queries submitted through your widget in a given time period. Use this to measure search adoption and correlate with traffic changes.
Rising trends indicate users are engaging with search. Flat trends while traffic grows may mean your widget placement or trigger isn't visible enough.
The percentage of searches that result in the user clicking at least one result. A healthy CTR is typically 60–80% for e-commerce and 50–70% for documentation.
Low CTR means users see results but don't trust them. Investigate your top queries with low CTR and check if the results are actually relevant.
The percentage of searches that return no results. This is your most actionable metric — every zero-result query is a user who left empty-handed.
Review your zero-result queries weekly. Each one is either missing content, an indexing gap, or a naming mismatch between your catalog and how users talk about it.
The most frequently searched terms across your site. This data tells you what your users actually want — not what you think they want.
Use top queries to prioritize content, optimize product descriptions, and ensure your highest-demand items are perfectly indexed and ranked.
Search analytics aren't just a reporting tool — they're a conversion optimization playbook. Every metric points to a specific action you can take to improve your site.
No analytics code to write. No events to instrument. It just works.
Paste one script tag on your site. The RayoSearch widget handles the search UI and automatically logs every query, impression, and click in the background.
Every search event is captured server-side — no client-side analytics library needed. Your dashboard starts populating immediately.
Review your weekly top queries, zero-result reports, and CTR trends in the dashboard. Make content and ranking improvements with confidence.
No. Analytics are included with every RayoSearch plan — including the free beta. There's nothing to enable or install separately.
RayoSearch logs search queries, the number of results returned, click events (which result was clicked), and session identifiers. No personal data or PII is collected or stored.
Analytics are available from the day you install the widget. Historical data from before RayoSearch is not available unless exported from another tool.
Data export is on the roadmap. During beta, the dashboard provides all the key metrics. Raw data export will be available in a future update.
RayoSearch does not collect user-identifiable data. Session IDs are anonymous and not linked to accounts, cookies, or device fingerprints.
Join teams using RayoSearch to understand their users through search — and build better products because of it.
